The Department of Psychology of the Turin University Established in 1982, the Department of Psychology of the Turin University is direct heir to the Institute of General and Applied Psychology of the Humanities Faculty, founded in 1906 by Federico Kiesow (1858-1940) with the Pellegrini Foundation (via Po, 18) and the Institute of Experimental and Social Psychology of the Pedagogy Faculty founded in the late 1960s by Angiola Massucco Costa, former disciple of Kiesow. The Department offers the following PhD Programs: Cognitive Sciences; Clinical and Interpersonal Relations; Applied Social and Developmental Psychology; Psychodynamics of Organizations and Training; Ergonomics. With the Department of Computer Science and the Turin Politechnic University, the Department of Psychology also established the Center for Cognitive Science in 1992, which it has hosted ever since. |
